The official website for Tokyotoon and Shinei Animation's new original multimedia project Null & Peta revealed on Friday a key visual and theme song for the anime part of the project. The site also revealed the anime will air on television in Japan in addition to streaming online. The anime will premiere on AT-X on October 4 at 10:40 p.m. and on Chiba TV on October 5 at 2:30 a.m. (effectively October 6). Azumi Waki (voice of Null) and Reina Ueda (voice of Peta) will perform the theme song "#NULL*Peta."
The anime will star Waki as Null (right in image at right) and Ueda as Peta (left).
The anime will premiere online on October 4 at 12:00 p.m. and will stream on 15 services in Japan.
Hato (Nora, Princess, and Stray Cat) is credited with the original project and the scripts. Hirofumi Ogura (Black Butler II, The Knight in the Area) is the anime's director. Eku Takeshima is designing the characters, and Ken Itakura is adapting those designs for animation. Shinei Animation is animating the series, and Ascension is credited with production cooperation. Yūki Kishida is composing the music.
The "sisters slapstick comedy" project centers on a genius elementary school inventor named Null and her robot older sister Peta.
The project also includes an upcoming game. Both the game and anime will launch worldwide at the same time they each launch in Japan.
