135,000-Yen Evangelion Unit-01 Statue Debuts at Wonder Festival

Prime 1 Studio unveiled new Evangelion statues at its booth at the winter edition of Wonder Festival 2017 on Sunday.
The Evangelion Test Type-01 NONscale Statue inspired by Eva Unit-01 from the new Evangelion anime films will stand 76.8 centimeters (about 2.52 feet) tall. The polystone statue will cost 135,000 yen (about US$1,193). According to a pamphlet distributed at the event, the statue will come with various weapons and replacement arms. An exclusive version will also be available.
Prime 1 Studio also revealed statues based on Eva Unit-00 and Eva Unit-02. The company has yet to announce the price and other release details for the Evangelion Proto Type-00' NONscale Statue and Evangelion Production Model-02 NONscale Statue.
The Evangelion Test Type-01 Premium Bust will stand 35 centimeters tall (about 1.1 feet) and feature LED lights. The bust will cost 37,037 yen (US$327).
A gigantic Unit-01 statue in Shanghai earned the Guinness World Record for being the world's largest Evangelion in January. Hakone, the anime's setting, received a 1:1-scale replica of Shinji's Eva Unit-01 in July 2015. The six-meter (about 20 feet) tall statue was then labeled as the biggest Evangelion in the world.
The Fuji-Q Highland theme park in Yamanashi Prefecture is also home to a life-size bust of Eva Unit-01. The attraction got a new projection mapping show in 2015.
