JACON was alright last year, there were a few issues here and there, a lot of it seems to be about the hotel itself. Mostly poor AC in the hallways where the artist alley was. Luckily I don't need the hotel as I attend school in the area, particularly, UCF itself, where they came from.

I hope they don't have that dumb anime musical thing again, and I heard the cosplay contest sucked as well. But it was fun for a smaller con, but couldn't near compete with Megacon for the amount of crap going on.

Things I did like were that the dealer's room was specifically anime-related, except for a few odds and ends, so it was nice having a condensed shopping area, but half the fun is walking around and exploring. I also enjoyed the viewing rooms since they were always quiet and darkly lit, so a good place to relax for a bit.

Yes - that "dumb anime musical" thing will be back as a competition. Animusical Idol 2009... and the hundreds of people watching didn't think it was so "dumb."

If you're into buying stuff, go to Megacon instead.

Interesting... how can you make that assumption (which isn't true) if you've never been. LOL

Yeah... MegaCon is a mall. I've gone less and less since the same things are now usually available online.

1. The hotel has been fixed.

2. walw6pK4Alo, god you're just annoying, stop posting if you have nothing to add, we don't need to hear "dur dur megacon is better".

3. This is a post for the press release regarding Jacon, go back to myspace and come back when you have a well informed, well put together statement that is on topic insightful, and actually useful, and for the love of god, learn the difference between Megacon and an actual anime convention.

Last year? Man, that bites... After moving from New York to Florida its been almost like a desert here... I've been starved for anime conventions... and now the best one in the area is ending....
