Yes, actually. One of the first things he does is use his zombie neighbour as a sex toy. Later spoiler[He protects a high school girl and her brothers in exchange for her body.] It's not Redo of Healer levels but still something most will want to avoid. |

There was also a visual novel for this which has been localized. AFAIK the main story in the web novel, print novels, and visual novels is essentially the same. The visual novel has some side routes and extra short stories though.
The visual novel was pretty good, until the ending where the author forced things to a close and left most everything unresolved. Hopefully the manga and this do a better job. Also, this is probably going to cause Redo of Healer level controversy. |

Yes, the novels were very rushed and felt abrupt for me without proper ending. Also hope that they fix it in anime series. |

Okay, so protagonist does evil things. Okay. But where does the narrative lie? Does it simply describe a morally nihilistic protagonist, or does the narrative show endorsement?

Kinda? He goes up against other humans who are worse than he is, and he uses his unique abilities to help more than he harms. Enough so that spoiler[other women sleep with him of their own volition.] But it also has spoiler[the girl I mentioned before develop Stockholm syndrome and desire he do more to her since he "made her a pervert".] After typing all that out, I will say yes it does portray his evil actions being a "deserved reward". |

First time I've ever had to add an R18 novel to the big spreadsheet, I think.
The Redo of Healer anime ended up being way overshadowed by Mushoku Tensei and its own Discourse, as I recall. |

Wow this is wild. I totally didn't expect this.
H scene aside, this is actually one of the best "zombie/apocalyptic" VNs I've ever played. I urge people who are interested in the project to try it because I think it's really good. I've read the manga as well, and honestly It's not as good, because it's missing all kinds of dread and tension, but the good thing is that it's quite faithful. The biggest problem is that the character design are totally different from the VN, which is a shame since the VN character design is more appealing imo. The only problem with this series that it's unfinished. It's a web novel adapted into VN, and later manga, and finally we got anime now. Even in VNs the devs had to add their own "ending" to put a closure and it's honestly very unsatisfying. I used to follow the author of the web novel back then, and he said that he's planning on continuing his work when the manga was announced. Hopefully he follows through now that it even got an anime series. |

I'm expecting about the same thing to happen as with RoH. With MT there was a lot more back and forth so that led to more controversy. With this, like with RoH, those that dislike and like the anime will agree that the protagonist is a scumbag, so the controversy won't really get as much traction. |
