Eagleshadow's Anime

Will not finish Rating Comment
Abnormal Physiology Seminar (TV) 2 (2/13) - Hen Semi - 13+2 episodes (12min per ep)- ~1.6.2012

I started this just because of hanakana seiyuu, and was utterly disappointed in how retarded it was. Idk what she was thinking taking that job. This anime is just retarded, it's not even funny. It's like "oh look, this is fucking sick and disgusting, now laugh!".

Accel World (TV) 5.6 - (2/12) Accel World - 5.6.2012

quit after two ep. It's very original, has an epicly designed character (butterfly girl) and epic production quality. But I can't get over how much I dislike the protagonist and how unrealistic this anime is. I understand it's fantasy in an sf setting, but this goes way beyond my level of tolerance for unrealistic. Also the appearance of mecha thematic just felt kinda forced to me. I'd say it's not maybe as bad as much as it's not my taste. I'm sure mecha fans would love it for it's high quality production value, epic girl character and overall originality (I think), which is why I opted for slightly higher grade. And btw, just in case you're wondering, liking Code Geass doesn't make you mecha fan. ...at all.

Ah! My Goddess (TV) So-so 5 - (6/26) Ah! My Goddess (TV) - 28.11.2010

It's retarded, it's somewhat inconsistent, often boring cause it's slow. The story itself has a whole lot of potential that's throughly wasted. Only thing holding me for 6 episodes was wanting to see if the potential in the story is gonna be exploited to some extent or not... oh, and main girl character is a total eyecandy (in a non-perverted sense), i mean if she was ugly or something I'd quit after 2nd episode probably lol

Ai Yori Aoshi ~Enishi~ (TV) Decent 5.5 - (5/13) Ai Yori Aoshi ~Enishi~ (TV) - 5.1.2010

Got bored with it so i dropped it, found other better stuff. It's maybe a bit better than first season in some things, but nothing rly worth talking about.

anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day (TV) Decent 6.3 - (6/12) Ano Hana (TV) - 12 episodes - 12.7.2011

Loved the first episode, but then all of the next 5 episodes were slightly boring, so i quit, even though i usually like dramas. I'm surprised to see this anime get such high scores, maybe there's something I'm not getting about it x) ? Dunno..., drawing and animation and music are nice, but i just didn't find the story interesting I guess. I mean, it's not that bad, I could finish watching it if someone wanted me to, but on my own, I figured I'll rather watch stuff that's more fun (like Hanasaku Iroha, which is an amazing drama compared to this, where story is constantly progressing, and is simply interesting on so many levels, while this just isn't for some reason).

Arakawa Under the Bridge (TV) So-so 5 - (4/13) Arakawa under the Bridge - 12 episodes - 9.7.2011

Gave up after 4 episodes. OP is just adorable and awesome, I kinda wanted to watch it just for that, also near the end of episode it would get somewhat more interesting occasionally, making me wanna see more in a way. But usually while watching I'd be terribly annoyed at... everything. It's random in sometimes funny way but too often just stupidly random. Idk... maybe all the stuff i find random and silly could be considered original and creative by someone, but to me they are just too annoying. Also the actions and dialogues, annoyingly stupid sometimes. Like when Arakawa gets angry and starts sulking on top of a street lamp, that, together with all the dialogue, was 10 minutes of me just wanting to turn it off.

Aria the Animation (TV) So-so 5.3 - (9/13) Aria the Animation - 13 episodes - 22.4.2012

It's nice, original, cute and relaxing... but also slow, boring and naive. It's not realistic enough or entertaining/funny/dramatic enough for me to finish it. Green haired girl was the only character I genuinely liked. Big thing in this anime is the low production quality, it really puts the final nail into the coffin for me. OPs suck, EDs are ok. Some of the realism problems here are no cellphones, no google earth(or mars in this case) or similar chart/atlas/gps technology or in other words: mars is presented as unexplored territory of some sort, even though it's distant future with interplanetary spaceships existing, and I won't even start with how retarded the technological implications of ep4 ending are. The idea of Mars being renamed to Aqua is cool, the idea of it being mostly water planet is cool, the idea of Venice-replica just sprouting there somehow is ridiculous in itself and should be addressed a bit better. The way that cat is drawn is so annoying. I was wondering why this anime is regarded as being much better than how I see it, and I think I discovered why that's so:
It. seems. to. inspire. people. with. it's. unusual. setting. (removed broken links)

Aria the Scarlet Ammo (TV) Not really good 4.4 - (5/13) Aria the Scarlet Ammo - 13 episodes - 17.5.2011

i mean really... in last episode girl shot 2 rockets after jumping out of a huge jet airplane, WITHOUT A ROCKET LAUNCHER, and then she used her DRESS as a parachute........... W T F... that did it for me...
also few guys gathering around 200 cars and boats in position to create a landing track lights... all in under 4 minutes? It's storm outside and last scene you see is them indoors.... 4 freakin minutes? that's not enough to leave a freakin home unless you go out bare footed, much less enough to gather an army of people and set them in specific formation over the distance of 2000 meters !!!!!!!!!!! I don't care about spoilers because you won't be watching this anyways :p
The bright side is nice art, fanservice is funny, and character relations are funny although sometimes too stupid. Fights are so horrible, and just keep getting worse, they make as much as ZERO sense. Only reason why I lasted for 5 episodes was that it was progressively getting worse. Also it's unoriginal, episodes are like a movie ripoffs. One episode is a ripoff of a movie Speed, if I recall the name of the movie correctly. Story and setting make little to no sense as well. Such a shame, becasue I would have enjoyed watching Aria character the kawaii tsundere well drawn well animated character. But I just can't take any more of this bullshit story with crap action sequences that make my head hurt ...
... from facepalming.

Baccano! (TV) So-so 5 - (6/16) Baccano! (TV) - few months before before 22.5.2010

Too much blood shed and violence. Not enough morality and phylosophy. Story is too fragmented and doesnt make too much sense. I dont like the idea of mixing alchemy-magic with mafia realworld-setting and showing it all in anime style.

Black Butler (TV) So-so 5 - (6/24) Black Butler (TV) - 19.11.2010

too many facepalm moments (when characters act unrealistically or obviously stupid in certain situation while still being portrayed as not stupid). Also i find death reaper with a chainsaw to be something that's supposed to be used in a parody, and not seriously as it is here, it just makes it weird. I usually don't like demon thematic, and this anime is a good example why - demon's powers are not explained well, and the whole magical world out there is a big mystery that we get little information about, which gives the authors of anime big freedom to use that to resolve the storyline in a way no one could have predicted. It's not an interesting plot when i start predicting that demon will just solve it by demonstrating yet another of his unpredictable powers. Also the story lacks substance, it's very fragmented so far and fails to guide the viewer into some larger storyline that would encompass entire season or something. Lots of small stories is something i frown upon in genre such as this one (i find that kind of thing very suitable for a comedy anime), and although this anime has comedy in it, it's not it's main driver, for the lack of better term. Also i thought that intro (OP) song was totally too similar to death note OP song, but that might just be a coincidence i guess.

Black Lagoon (TV) Not really good 4 - (10.5/12) Black Lagoon (TV) - around October 2010

...yeah i gave up in the middle of episode, wanna fight about it? just couldn't take anymore of this female-rambo vs female-rambo crap. 1st episode was fine i guess, 2nd was... bit too unrealistic but kinda good at the same time, so i figured I'll watch third, which was then pretty generic and almost boring with some rambo action that was just too much. Out of sheer boredom, few days later i figured I'll give 4th episode a shot. I was amazed at how interesting and immersive that one was, and it went like that for 3 episodes, it was like "gotta keep watching, fun!" with a bit of rambo-action that i thought was overdone and unrealistic. From there on it just got worse, with episode 10 just being one big rambo action - by that i mean one girl with guns kills 100 other guys with guns... in a row... you know, bullets just keep missing her and stuff.... anyways, it drove me nuts and i quit.

Bleach (TV) Good 6.6 - (66/303) Bleach (TV) ~1.10.2007 watched / added to ann in early 2010

This anime is actually pretty good, it's original in a way. Although it cant compete with awesome stuff like code geass, it's worth watching becouse imo it's pretty original. I watched it untill fillers started then it got boring. And i heard it's not as good after fillers when they go in death god world or whatever... so i dont think i'll watch it. Particulary becouse of how "shonen" it is. (based around duels that can last for many episodes)

Blue Exorcist (TV) Decent 5.6 - (12/24) Ao No Exorcist - 24 episodes - 10.8.2011

omg this anime can be so bad sometimes... whole 11th ep for example. Too shounen for me, that's pretty much it. OP/ED are gr8. Drawing and art in anime is nice, but animation is not nearly as good, which I found annoying occasionally.

Bokura ga Ita (TV) Decent 6.1 - (16/26) Bokura ga Ita - 26 episodes - 18.11.2011

Dropped this becasue it pissed me off with a certain thing that I just didn't like on a personal level :) kinda like Dexter. But also this had potential to be original and unique and then it threw it away in favor of being mainstream... fufufufufufu [/rant]
What else to say, animation quality is minimal, any less and it would be a slideshow, honestly.... but we could say this ain't about graphics and animation, but rather heavily about deep character relations and story (lovestory). I loved some parts of it, some depth that it ended up having, but all in all, it had terribly slow progression, kinda like Haibane Renmei, just with characters and their realism being the thing that makes you not drop it immediately, where Haibane had mystery. This anime is much different from mainstream anime, as it features a realistic approach to highschool romance, with barely any comedy at all. But that simply makes it not as entertaining to watch. To put it simple, it's such a heavy romance drama..., it isn't particularly bad, but it can be really annoying at times.

Brigadoon (TV) Decent 6.3 - (15/26) Brigadoon - 26 episodes - 15.6.2011

I dropped it becasue it went too far from serious and too close to cartoon. That crazy world between earth and brigadoon just did it, it's too much like a cartoon, it simply crossed the line. The line of what I'm ready to let pass as creative or that's-just-how-it-is. Sorry but riceball and hamburger plants? No I just can't think seriously about this anime anymore. And Lolo randomly appearing and dissapearing, like he can teleport, but in fact he can't... uh... i could spend weeks naming all the details about this that are off. That's exacly why I'm saying this anime dances on the border of anime and cartoon (by cartoon i mean something stupid and silly intended only for kids). From time to time it looked good and promising. Even with some weird fanservice throwing hints at us that it's not actually for kids (but it was rare). The silly makes-no-sense stuff was used to further story development in original way, that's why I let it slide for so long, it looked promising as in 'will have epic plot later on'. Also i liked how Moe character was moe xD. I liked some of the story development. But all in all, dropped it cause it's too cartoony in the end.
Ps. even though old, i liked the OP and it's music, it felt epic for some reason. Also the mecha animations made by Sunrise were a little bit reminiscent of code geass, (the style of animation and Melan's mask I guess) I found that amusing.

C – Control – The Money and Soul of Possibility (TV) 3 - (0.4/11) C – Control – The Money and Soul of Possibility - 5.6.2012

Saw 7 minutes of it, disliked it a whole lot, but I was drunk and it was several weeks ago so I can't really recall why I hated it, but I recall clearly that I totally hated it.

Chaos;HEAd (TV) Not really good 3.9 - 4/12 Chaos;HEAd - 26 episodes - 17.1.2012

It's not unwatchable... but I quit it cause there's better stuff out there to waste time on. Hard to believe it was written by same people behind steins;gate... so hard that I'm not sure whether to believe it at all. Animation and production quality is low, that's the worst part. And characters are not interesting, weird... story is wtf's going on... uhh... allright, not too bad but not very interesting either. Nothing else worth mentioning

Chobits (TV) 3 - (2.5/26) Chobits - 11.7.2012

quit after 2.5 ep: quite annoying. not much ecchi but it's always out of place. technology wise writers are either uninformed or stupid because things don't make much sense. It's just not as realistic as I hoped it'll be. And not interesting/emotional/funny/moe enough to merit further watching.

Cowboy Bebop (TV) So-so 5 - (2/26) Cowboy Bebop (TV) - 10.7.2010

I don't understand why this got such high ratings... after 2 episodes i quit watching it because it just wasn't interesting enough. As far as i figured every episode is a separate story, and i dislike that.

Deadman Wonderland (TV) Decent 6 - (6/12) Deadman Wonderland - 12 episodes - 12.6.2011

Short version: I want my sanity back...
Long version: I actually noticed OP/ED and immersiveness had something in common with Ergo Proxy, so I checked it out and yeah, bingo, they were made by same studio. HOWEVER, very different storywriter. Let's gather my impressions of first 6 episodes in chronological order:
cool..., aw common that's sick, oh that's mysterious... wait what?, fucking sick, wait story is actually interesting, omfg give me a break this shit cannot be unseen,... ok get it together, writer just wanted us to realize how sick this world is right? The main character is kinda normal... but how can this world fucking exist, this is too much, it has some unexplained stuff... maybe I should stop watching, oh damn cliffhanger, and the story is progressing, well, I'll try another episode, wow damn that's interesting story pretty much keeps progressing, respect, also that crazy girl... wow, why is she so... need a word... cant think of a word... anyways she's crazy but for some reason i wanna see more of her. More sick stuff... yuck. Nice story progression... oh, interesting, what will happen next, this world is somewhat immersive and original... in a way. And then... wait what, whole episode just about a stupid fight and some sick stuff (but at least main character agrees they are sick)? what happened to story progression? Ok I'll give it one more try... WHAT? whole next episode also just another fight, and some very DISTURBING characters... and omfg sick stuff this cannot be unseen... I'm dropping it I want my sanity back!

Durarara!! (TV) So-so 4.5 - (5/24) Durarara!! - 24 episodes - 28.9.2011

Too fantasy to be set in such modern environment. I finally snapped when headless person equipped a helmet... WTF PHYSICS !?!??! As if existence of something headless that can talk wasn't annoying/disturbing enough on it's own.

Fate/stay night (TV) So-so 5 - (3.5/24) Fate/stay night (TV) - 19.5.2010

At first it seemed interesting, but when i got to 4th episode there was a fight that was so stupid story around it was just lame and non-promising. It seems to me as if rest 20 episodes will just be about those 7 magicians dueling for the holy grail and in the end "our hero" will win it and gg... plain boring as i predict it would happen. But anyways those few fights were so stupid that i just cant believe people who designed them would be able to make 20 more episodes of that that wouldn't be as crappy as those "fights"/"story development" itself.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (TV) Decent 5.7 - (16/64) Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (TV) - 23.8.2010

kinda boring, i think i actually liked naruto better than this. Although imo this is maybe bit more high quality in production, but i remember naruto being much more interesting to watch. Anyways, it's very shonen, and shonens mostly suck... so yeah...

Gag Manga Biyori (TV) Bad 2 - (1.5/12) Gag Manga Biyori (TV) 28.9.2011

Too random, bad quality drawing and generally veery low quality production, unlike excel saga which had some nice quality to it, and in the midst of all the randomness, had some consistency and quality.

Heaven's Memo Pad (TV) Decent 6.15 - (7/12) Kami-sama no Memo-chou - 12 episodes - 23.1.2012

At first it seemed good, graphics were awesome, and Alice as a character was adorable and kinda unique. Even the story was ok, technically, it was great, but the execution was bad. This anime is trying to be a mystery/detective anime, but without having mysterious enough stories, it attempts to confuse you by what-I-call-lousy-storrytelling, where they just bombard you with relevant and irrelevant information in disjointed order and while you try to figure out the plot, they hope you won't notice the other slice-of-life level of plot that barely makes any sense. Even with all that, it was watchable, but then after a few episodes it kinda became about gang/mafia street wars, and I dislike that thematic, and I dislike how badly it fits the character setup. I've heard somewhere this is like Gosick in present time. Well, Gosick was far from perfect, but it was mysterious and original, this is just confusing and feels like a mashup of unrelated things. I'm not saying this anime is horrible, I just got annoyed enough by it to drop it.

Hipira: The Little Vampire (TV) Bad 2 - (2/10) Hipira: The Little Vampire (TV) - 19.11.2010

... each episode is like 5 minutes... i managed to put up with 12 minutes before quiting. It's like a cartoon for children and not anime. Maybe childish is a matter of opinion, but fact is that i didn't like it.

Honey and Clover (TV) So-so 5 - (5/24) Honey and Clover (TV) - 22.10.2010

It's nice, everything in this anime is nice, except intro(OP) which sucks balls, but story just isn't interesting enough to continue watching.

(The) IDOLM@STER (TV) 6 - (17/25) IDOLM@STER - 25 episodes - 2.10.2012

, so far: great at first, some lame episodes later, very inconsistent quality, mostly thematic vise, per episode. I'll give few more episodes a shot. (nonfantasy comedy revolving around 13 girls, instead of anime standard of 4-5). further edit: again, inconsistent episodes. This really really really really should have been a 12 episode anime. Some episdoes were 11/10 and some were so boring I had to fast forwards through them. More boring episodes... too bored, quit.

Kamichu! (TV) Weak 3 - (3/16) Kamichu! (TV) - 24.9.2010

i was bored to death by episode 3 so i quit. 4/10 i guess, nice drawing but too boring and story is just stupid.

Kamisama Dolls (TV) 4.5 - (1/13) Kamisama Dolls - 13 episodes - 19.06.2013

Didn't catch my interest at all, doesn't seem like something I'd enjoy so I dropped it. Every opportunity to subvert a trope was played straight, and every opportunity for depth was averted in favour of an easier way out (for the writer). On top that when I consider the genre, I don't see any potential left here whatsoever and I choose not to waste my time any more than I already have.

Katanagatari (TV) Decent 6.2 - (7/12) Katanagatari (TV) - 12 episodes (60min per episode) - 18.2.2011

LOG: 1st and 2nd ep: 9.5/10, 3rd ep: 8.7/10... maybe.... 4th ep: 7.7/10; 5th ep: 7.8/10; 6th ep: on the edge of watchable... maybe 6/10? I'm starting to think i gave Naruto and Samurai X too low grades... looking at how high i rated first few episodes of this..., i think I'll have to re-watch samurai X after i finish or quit this one; 7th ep: zomfg i quit.
well, anyways, after 3 episodes now i finally have something clever to write, until now i was too dumbstruck by this anime to write anything even remotely clever. Ok so... my only problem with it so far was lack of seriousness from time to time, but just when i start look at it negatively, it throws some awesome humor at me since it's more like a comedy than serious anime. So this anime is pretty skilfully dancing on the edge of serious and stupid comedy, where you just cant grasp what it is it really trying to be, and then only thing to do really, is to relax, watch and enjoy and laugh. Characters are awesome, voiceacting is great and dialogues are clever! It's interesting that story has pretty much been determined since it seems every episode will be dedicated to single of 12 important things (hence the 12 episodes). So i wonder if they'll still manage to make it interesting and somewhat unpredictable till the end. So far, pretty good job. Only real complaint is that in 3rd episode there is one huge headdeskfacepalm-convenientbirds moment, that's why i graded that one lower.
Ok 4th episode was kinda disappointing, they just went overboard with magical ninja moves and weird costumes and stuff... it's too much like Naruto now, also less talk more action plox - or at least if you intend to make all the dialogues mostly about boasting. I enjoy clever dialogue, but this episode didn't have much. Only real positive thing in this one is that one character noticed a minor plot hole that I didn't notice, I thought that was kinda cool. Not much to say about 5th... tiny bit better then 4th maaaybe... hard to compare. 6th was ridiculous... only sane and fun thing was 15 minutes of dialogue between two main characters that was fun, rest was.... just overkill in a bad way, or maybe it's just that kind of anime, maybe authors wanted that, but nevertheless it annoys me that ninjas can have such silly powers as major spoiler: jumping from body to body and living 5000+ years, or one guy chopping of his comrade's head with a bare hand....
7th episode... -.- ... this anime is ridiculus shounen in which all characters are retarded. spoiler: also YOU DO NOT kill one moe character and then cut of the long kawaii hair of only other moe character IN THE SAME FREAKING EPISODE, what the fuck did director of this anime think? Did sunrise cuto off CC hair in CodeGeass? NO! Did i watch code geass till the end? YES! you getting this baka director???

Kino's Journey (TV) So-so 6.2 - Kino no Tabi - 13+3 episodes - 25.2.2013

Doesn't seem very good so far... ep0: meh. ep1: meh. ep2: epic. ep3:meh+. ep4. fuck! did not see this coming! (=epic) ep5: meh. ep6: meh i quit.

Lagrange - The Flower of Rin-ne (TV) Decent 6 - 4/12 Rinne no Lagrange - 12 episodes - 8.3.2012

At first I was like: "holy shit epic visuals epic soundtrack, interesting characters. Although thematic is naive-shounenish in nature, the approach to storytelling is actually totally serious (lampshade hanging etc.)." but then ... after 4 episodes, nothing gets explained, so many clichés it's not even funny, stupid plot devices, and characters turned out to be kinda crazy and not very interesting. It's a Mecha anime with amazing production quality but with seriousness and target audience set on the same level as most Mahou Shoujo anime. Target audience will love this anime, but that doesn't happen to be me.

(The) Legend of the Galactic Heroes (OAV) Awful 2 - (3/110) Legend of the Galactic Heroes - 5.6.2011

I don't even know what to say, it sucks on so many levels. Actually I don't remember a single thing I enjoyed about this. I would have stopped halfway through episode 1 if it weren't for the bet to see if I'd like it if i watched 3 episodes. One of the things that annoyed me the most is the tactics of the space battles, and the 'minimaps' representing what's happening. And the fact that I'm supposed to believe that maneuvers that they pulled off are tangible... You don't have to be the best strategy player in the world to realize how much FAIL those fights are. I can't believe how people in the past when this was airing, how much their standards were lower then ours today, when they were able to set aside the mathematical impossibility of what just happened, and keep watching. It's like watching a bad cartoon and not serious anime, something trying to look serious but utterly failing. Actually I don't remember any anime or tv show or anything asking for this much willing suspension of disbelief to this degree that this show does. It's just infuriating. It feels like directors/authors are telling me in the face: "We consider you to be THIS MUCH stupid, we don't think you can grasp the basic logical relations of time, space and velocity. We pretty much think you cannot think,... at all, so just relax and enjoy the show". ...yeah ...right.

Level E (TV) Not really good 3.5 - (2.5/12) Level E (TV) - 28.9.2011

I didn't like it becasue of characters mostly, but the story was also not serious enough, while in the same time not portraying itself as a stupid comedy, which is inexcusable. I also disliked the creepy alien related stuff, as well as intro and it's music.

Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic (TV) 3.5 (2/25) - Magi - 25 episodes - 07.5.2013

Tried to watch this becasue of artwork I saw. Incredibly shounen, dropped it after one ep, fast forwarded through 2,3,4 to make sure it doesn't get any better. It got worse. I really can't handle shounens anymore.

MAOYU (TV) 4 - (3/12?) Maoyuu Maou Yuusha - 12? episodes - 22.1.2013

I was lured in by this anime trying to be spiritual successor to S&W by supposedly having similar thematic and having same two seiyuus... It turned out this is just bad in every way it can be bad. Story feels naive and all over the place, but never goes into enough detail... it just jumps for place to place with no apparent reason, in other words, reasoning for why current things are happening on the screen is horrible. Also there's no spotlighting whatsoever. Fanservice is distasteful. Protagonist is a retard. The female lead would have some appeal for charismatic personality if she wasn't randomly instantly in love with MC for no reason whatsoever and if she didn't have oversized boobs that jiggle in all the wrong situations. Blunt fanservice just doesn't suit this kind of historical setting... at least it tries to be historical and give off a S&W vibe but it ends up feeling more like Tears to Tiara than S&W. Also background art is low quality.

Maria Watches Over Us (TV) Bad 2 - (2/13) Maria Watches Over Us (TV) - 7.9.2010

quit after 2 episodes of boredom, bad animation graphics and characters and music and uninteresting story.

Mushi-Shi (TV) So-so 5 - (4/26) Mushi-Shi (TV) ~ somewhere around 15.8.2009

People rate this very high... but i just found it very boring tbh. It's slow. And it's detective-like setting mixed with magical paranormal stuff... which gives storywriters infinite number of ways to cop-out of situation and make it almost impossible for the viewer to try to guess the solution to a problem. I've seen like 4-5 episodes and could make myself to keep watching it.

Naruto Shippūden (TV) Decent 6 - (41/196) Naruto Shippuden (TV) - ~1.5.2007 watched / added to ann in early 2010

It's actually pretty good, and some fights and story are totally fun. But the fights and story progres got so slow it pissed me off by slowness and i stopped watching it because of it.

Natsuiro Kiseki (TV) 3.6 - (2/12) Natsuiro Kiseki - 12 episodes - 2.8.2012

quit after 2 ep. It's a disaster. It's boring. Characters are annoying. Animation is not very good.

Neon Genesis Evangelion (TV) Weak 3 - (3/26) Neon Genesis Evangelion (TV) - 10.7.2010

Too naive and shonen-like. I also didn't like the style. Watched first 3 episodes then i quit cause i was facepalming a lot and bored. Only good thing was opening and it's music.

Nurse Witch Komugi (OAV) 3 - (1/6) Nurse Witch Komugi (OAV) - 13.2.2011

epic fail KyoAni... epic fail... but I guess they had to start somewhere x)... if it was less bad it would be so bad it could be good again... to bad it's not.

Ōkami-san & Her Seven Companions (TV) Not really good 5.5 (5/12) - Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi - 12 episodes - 19.3.2013

OP and ED were quite nice. I pretty much started this becasue Shiroi Kuroko was narrating it and becasue heroine seemed badass. Those two elements delivered. Too bad it had to go and be ruined by absolutely dreadful male protagonist and nonsensical storytelling. I admit it's occasionally quite funny, but not enough to excuse the stupidity and pointlessness of the story. I'll admit references to classic fairytales are not something I expected, and they're kinda cool here and there, but not cool enough overall and often end up feeling forced.

Penguindrum (TV) Not really good 4 - (2/12) Mawaru Penguindrum (TV) - 28.9.2011

Simply didn't like it, some creepy approach to fantasy, it's simply not well established. It makes you think it's a drama then it becomes stupid-fantasy, then again switches to serious tone, then does weird animation sequences... not to forget lack of seriousness and logical thinking among characters.

Popotan (TV) Bad 2 - (1.5/12) Popotan (TV) - 24.10.2010

Saw first episode, gave up. How to phrase it... I'll just let Shiina (from Angel Beats) explain to you everything you need to know about this anime. - Shiina: ""how shallow-minded"......animation and drawing are pretty bad, story is naive and kinda stupid, it feels story and anime only exist for the sake of fanservice

Rozen Maiden (TV) Weak 3.4 - (2/12) Rozen Maiden (TV) - 12 episodes - 12.7.2011

Animation and drawing, it's somewhat old, but more importantly, it's not very good. Soundtrack... I actually heard of the the background music somewhere else, so I'm guessing either it's too ordinary or someone stole from someone.... whatever. Main problem was... i dunno i guess this anime isn't meant to be watched by adults. Characters are all stupid (as in, low IQ, and unrealistic), events are silly, comedy rarely made me laugh. I dunno, non-realistic characters are my biggest complaint i guess. The things they say, the things they choose to do... it just doesn't make any sense to me. I'm disappointed at myself for not being able to more precisely pin-point what's wrong with it, while feeling there's something terribly wrong with it.

Saki (TV) Weak 2.5 - (3/25) Saki (TV) - 28.9.2011

I'm not into mahjong, or sports in general, i guess maybe chess would an interesting thing, maybe Go, but i really don't know and don't care about advanced mahjong rules, and this anime is too heavy on advanced mahjong terminology to follow it and also understand what the hell happened. Also the drawing isn't very good, as well as characters that don't seem to be particularly interesting.

Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei (TV) 4.5 - (~5/12) Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei - 12 episodes - 2.10.2012

I rly dunno what to say. Very abstract and very ABSURD and in the same time silly and ridiculus. It's watchable, the watchability varies a lot from scene to scene and episode to episode. Sometimes it's very amusing, sometimes very boring and plain stupid. I guess art style is what killed it for me. I'm just not attracted back to it, to keep watching it, when it looks so bad compared to good looking latest anime. I'm a art/animation junkie... what can I say...

Sekirei: Pure Engagement (TV) Not really good 4.3 - (6/13) Sekirei: Pure Engagement - 13 episodes - 23.1.2012

I'm gonna ignore OVA in this post (becasue it's ecchi with a little bit of anime in it). But the anime itself, although heavy on ecchi, is still decent enough to be watchable. At first I was annoyed by macro-story not making much sense (something like battle royale for unexplained reasons), but on a micro level it was fun, especially around 3rd episode, fights were Hilarius and that was pretty awesome. But later it just declines in quality, more stupid fights, less funny ones, relationships get more boring, and most importantly nothing still gets explained. *quits* ps. animation and production quality is surprisingly good.

Senki Zesshō Symphogear (TV) Not really good 4 - (2/12) Senki Zesshou Symphogear - 12 episodes - 23.1.2012

Production quality was literally pure awesome... suddenly, shitty colored 2D aliens appear... WHAAAT FFFFUUUUUU. Starts off like an amazing drama, becomes stupid maho shojo. I just can't handle this genre, it's always so low quality story-wise and especially consistency-wise. In first episode alone I had like ~20 consistency/realism complaints.

Serial Experiments Lain (TV) Weak 3 - (1/12) Serial Experiments Lain (TV) - 5.7.2010

so boring and incredibly slow... wish I've done something better with my time, only saw first episode though but I've seen enough to tell i don't wanna continue watching.

(The) Severing Crime Edge (TV) 3.7 (2/12) - Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge - 12 episodes probably - 12.4.2013

Dropped during 2nd episode, it's just too weird in a bad way. Mostly the story itself and character interactions.

Shakugan no Shana (TV) Decent 5.9 - 16/24 Shakugan no Shana - 26 episodes - 17.1.2012

Contemporary urban fantasy with fights... Only reason I lasted for 16 episodes of this semi-crap is Shana herself and her seiyuu (Taiga/ZeroLouise), actually even though it had lame elements in beginning as well, it also showed some promise tacking into existentialism but later it just turns to stupid-fights among stupid-characters for stupid-reasons and disjointed storyline type of anime. Animation and production quality is lame most of the time but it's mostly due to it's vintage, I guess. Rule of cool is the only thing that's supposed to be keeping this anime up-there, but still, even though Taig... I mean Shana's wings are freaking supercool, but she doesn't throw them around enough to keep up the coolnes of it. OP lame, ED lame.

Shining Tears X Wind (TV) Weak 2.8 - (1/13) Shining Tears X Wind - 13 episodes - 5.8.2011

Lame, boring, to lame to write anything about it, it doesn't deserve it.

So I Can't Play H (TV) 3 - (2/12) Dakara Boku wa H ga Dekinai - 12 episodes - 2.8.2012

quit @ 2/12. it sucks. ()

Starry Sky (TV) Weak 2.5 - (5/26) Starry Sky - 26 episodes (10min per episode) - 2.8.2011

This anime made me think 10 minute format sucks, then later i saw REC and discovered infact it's this anime that sucks, and not the time format. I started watching Starry Sky to see if reverse harem would be entertaining, but it turns out this is a low quality harem that's just about stupid fanservice excuses and boring characters with lame story. I still think there might be hope for the genre but this anime ain't it.

Strike Witches (TV) 4 - (2/12) Strike Witches - 5.6.2012

quit after two ep, pretty damn bad. I really don't understand why it is slightly popular. Sure it's original but it's original in a stupid way. Also the fanservice doesn't feel very good, too blunt and too indecent in a way.

Tears to Tiara (TV) Decent 6 - (16/26) Tears to Tiara - 26 episodes - 17.1.2012

Medieval fantasy, swords, archers, elves, magic, demons... Unexpectedly good graphics and animation quality, nothing too special but still, decent voiceacting, pretty awesome and entertaining characters that are likely the best thing in the anime, except for one super annoying kinda-main character that's just an annoying shounen-ish idiot... OP and ED are full of win, Story isn't bad in the beginning but really begins to drag out later, to the point of becoming sooo boring... so i quit

(The) Tower of Druaga: The Aegis of Uruk (TV) So-so 5.5 - (9/13) Tower of Druaga: the Aegis of Uruk - 12 episodes - 23.10.2011

First episode is epicly amazing 10/10 stupid comedy, definitely check it out :) The rest of the anime is fantasy with occasional nice sense of humor and unfortunately it gets progressively worst with each episode. Low quality drawing and animation, low quality music. comedy and MMORPG references are only good thing really. Characters are nothing special, mostly. Some are kinda likable but they don't get enough screen time.

Vividred Operation (TV) 4 (1/12?) - Vividred Operation - 12? episodes - 19.1.2013

Spiritual successor to strike witches, and just as bad imo. A mix of mahou shojo and mecha. I was hoping it would try to do something new with the genre but it's just the same old formula...

Wagnaria!! (TV) 4.3 - (3/13) Working!! - 11.7.2012

quit after 3 episodes, 2 normal characters, all other are unrealistic crazy people that annoy me, and story isn't focusing enough on the 2 normal characters that I like.

You're Being Summoned, Azazel (TV) 3 (0.5/13) - Yondemasu yo, Azazel-San -13 episodes - 12.05.2013

Disliked it, dropped it 5 minutes into it. Really really not my style.

Yuyushiki (TV) 4 (1/12) - Yuyushiki - 12 episodes probably - 10.4.2013

Decided to drop this after the first episode. I was told it was kinda like Yuruyuri and A-Channel, and although it falls into the similar genre, it's quality is just a not even comparable to those two. Yuruyuri is simply a masterpiece, you're just lauhing all the time and characters are insanely charming, and A-Channel has it's own kind of charm and style, but is still generally funny, cute and relaxing, but also interesting. Yuyushiki has none of that, characters feel uninteresting, jokes simply aren't funny, plot is slow and stretched out (where in Yuruyuri, episode will fly by so fast you won't even notice it's been 22 min). I'm having problem with Yuyushiki's artstyle as well, the eyes being drawn so high is usually a sign of unexperienced artist, since drawing eyes too high is most common newbie mistake when it comes to drawing faces... it just looks wrong somehow, though I would probably get used to it later if I didn't drop it... maybe. It's art production quality is low but that wouldn't be too bad if humor/characters were as good as A-Channel/YY, but as it stands right now, it's nothing but overall mediocrity in all areas. It's kinda watchable I suppose, but I'll much rather watch something else with my time.
